For me he is a good professor because he try to capture the attention of the students by means of examples of the daily life in a course not very amusing, making them think for themselves

THE ROLE OF THE TEACHER

1.In my opinion it is a particular and positive way of teaching. He makes you think and makes you participate in the classroom with all kind of tricks, for example on chapter 7 he used the excuse notes to practice writing English class and on chapter 17 he still using the stories and started to give the students lessons on music and food. The method seemed to work since they didn´t really realize they were studying serious writers.
I think this the best way to teach, he stimulates the classroom and makes you feel that you can do it well. A clear example is when Serena on chapter 13 wrote a letter to Maria and said that she was going to finish high school and go to college to teach little kids. “Fire of happiness burn inside McCourt”
I think he is a good teacher since he tries during all the book do it his best to teach students, no matter the age or race. The only black point is when he had the incident with Hector.
2.Well, in this chapter McCourt tries to stimulate the classroom and wants them to think by themselves and have opinions about anything. He also wants to show them that they can have opportunities. He was shocked. He didn´t realize that the people in his classes thought their opinions didn´t matter. The only think they wanted is to pass the examinations and graduate at the end of the year. They didn´t want to think about nothing else.
